Following a successful career in commercial finance, owner Michael Palitz, in 2006, opened the highest Zagat rated comedy club venue in the heart of New York's Meatpacking district.  While loved by performers and audiences alike, the club ultimately closed in 2011.  However, the experience allowed Michael to pursue his love of theatre bringing to bear his expertise in live entertainment with the formation of GEMS Group Productions. 

 

GEMS has gone on to produce a number of successful and award winning Broadway productions including TONY 

nominated Next Fall, The Scottsboro Boys, Leap of Faith, Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and 2013 TONY Award winner for best play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.  

 

Broadway lovers can soon enjoy Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations when it returns to the theater October 16th, and Thoughts Of A Colored Man, a bold new play written by Keenan Scott III and directed by Steven H. Broadnax III.
